I know it's been a darn long while since I've made ANY posts. Prior to this, I usually posted on my more personal blog blognijanel.blogspot.com, but I haven't even made any posts/updates on that. I'll get back in the loop of things eventually. I've been trying this whole asian fashion pre-order thing. You know those, with the really cute-overpriced- then you have to worry about shipping- type of clothes? Not me on the ordering end, but the selling end. Catch my drift? Need more exposure, that's all. Our prices are reasonably affordable IMO, that's the whole reason why I'm trying it out and going to see how it goes. I've always wanted to order, but then realize that the clothes are too expensive.

Now with pre-orders, they're not for those who want their items right away... it's more of those who don't mind waiting a few weeks. But of course, we'll try to be speedy with things that's why I decided to batches so it's not like you're waiting until I get 100 orders. The more orders I get the better it is of course. Also helps to keep the prices low. To keep it simple, I am the middle-woman hehe.

You order from me, I order from the supplier, they ship it to me, and I shall ship to you :)

I also tried to make the ordering process really simple by putting up an order form.

I received a few questions and comments regarding ordering from geosupplier.blogspot.com and thought that I'd address them all in this post.

I ordered from her (I'm assuming the person running it is a female) twice, both times I had no problem whatsoever.

The only contact info I know of her's is the email on her blog [geosupplier@gmail.com].

The only time I did have to ask a question was about the degrees, because apparently Geo (the company) discontinued -5.25. It took her about a week to respond, which I didn't really mind because the batch wasn't ending til a couple weeks after. However, I would've appreciated a response within 3 days or so.

I am guessing I am lucky that my order wasn't screwed up in any way, I guess it's because the most that I've ordered is 3 pairs. At the time, I did trust her and wouldn't mind buying from her again. After reading about stories that had issues with her and the customer service, I am not so sure anymore. I'd rather pay a few dollars more than have to deal with what other fellow customers are dealing with.

To my readers that are dealing with issues regarding their order, all I can suggest is that you keep trying to contact her. I have no idea how else you can get a hold of her besides her e-mail. I also assume that English isn't this person's first language, so maybe there could be some things lost in translation on her end of things?

She used to sell only GEO contacts, now she is selling EOS lenses and some BB creams. I think that's when her customer service started lagging? IDK, that's just my opinion.

Now, I'm not trying to bash on her/them or anything. I just think that other people should know what else is going on, just to be informed. I just personally didn't have any issues with the two times that I did order from her (this was before other products were being sold).

One night while browsing through blogs, I found on someone's twitter a coupon code for 60% off ELF studio products. I tried to search for the expiration of the coupon, but failed. I tried the coupon out, it worked! Sooo quickly, I went ahead and placed more items in my cart on the website. The next day or I think 2 days after, I did another search on the code and found out that the time I ordered was the last few hours the code was valid! Woohoo! I was going to post the code here after I was done, but I forgot :(. By the time I remembered, the code was no longer in effect. I was so excited and I had a hard time picking what items to buy, because it was so unexpected. I was so tempted to buy everything I thought I wanted, but I didn't ^_^. I decided to be practical and only get the items I KNEW I would use.

What I ordered:

2 powder brushes
blush brush
small precision brush
small smudge brush
lip liner & blending brush
2 black cream liners
2 blushes [blushing rose & pink passion]

All this cost me around $21 including shipping :]
They shipped it out on May 4, and it arrived today! I checked the tracking thing about 3 days ago and it said that the ETD was May 11 so I didn't even bother to check anymore. I was surprised it came so quickly XD.

EDM Lippie update: OMG I hate that color (bamboo)! Lol. I guess the color I was LOVING was the first layer or so. After getting through that, the color turned out to be some kind of terracotta shade. I was in the car the yesterday & I applied it without looking in a mirror. Shortly after I was done, I wanted to take a quick look. Oh my I was shocked and immediately took it off. Hehe. I guess I won't be using that color anymore. I do love the texture, I want to try it in another shade.

Everyday Minerals Samples

Sometime last year, I tried EDM for the first time. Ordering their totally FREE sample kit. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you were able to choose 3 shades of a base, 1 concealer, and 1 blush. Now, I don't think they offer anything for free? I'm not sure, I read in one of their emails that you get 1 sample kit free with your order and the subsequent are $5 each. IDK, but
when I tried to add a sample kit with my Lippie, the cart showed a $5 charge for 1 kit. Blah whatevs.

Anyways, I've been using Revlon's Photo Ready foundie while the weather was still cool. Now that it's heating up, I find myself hella OILY. Plus, I started to find the shimmer annoying. Yuck. Then I thought, hey EDM was pretty good. I just didn't find my right shade last time I ordered. So here I am again. I could've gotten their pre-made sample kits for foundie, but they weren't the colors I needed to try.

I ordered a samples of
Intensive buttered tan and light olive
kaolin powder in sunlight (supposed to control oil)
lip gloss in bamboo

I wasn't sure what the lip stuff they had were, but I decided to try it anyway. Main reason, only $4 and the colors looked really pretty. Now that I've tried it, it's a tinted lip balm IMO. I only saw now that they had "gloss" on their website. I LOVE this stuff! Pigmentation is just right, like I said "tinted lip balm" and I tried my best to capture the color with my camera. I think the photos without flash shows the color best. I guess since the flash washes out the color (DUH janel). I'll be using this everyday :). It's really moisturizing!

mark. hook up eye shadow brush

Just a quick look at the mark. hook up eye shadow brush. You have to connect it to another "hook up" product so that you can hold it comfortably.

It's soft, but I've felt softer brushes
Dense, great for packing on the color
It's quite small
Comes with a pink screw on cap - keeps it and your m/u bag clean

Buy it [here]. It's $6 and if you buy another hook up, a free connector is included. Basically for every 2 hook up products, you get a connector to well... connect them. Hehe. The picture on the website looks off. Please refer to the photos below :).

Overall: I like this brush. It's small, so great for touch ups when you're on the go. I personally wouldn't use it on the daily though. Just because it's so small... it would take a while to do my eye lol.

Geosupplier Review

geosupplier.blogspot.com is where I get my circle lenses when I'm in no hurry to receive them. They do batch orders so you do have to wait a little over a month to get your lenses.

Their lenses are only $10/pair + shipping [uber cheap!]

Here is the time line of when I ordered:
I ordered in batch #5 which was open from Feb 23- 8 Mar 8
Emailed my order: March 5 [sent payment through paypal same day]
They received the batch: April 2
Sent out my package: April 6
I received my lenses: April 15

3 pairs cost me $37.60 including shipping.

Yes, they are GENUINE GEO LENSES. I checked :)

In case you're curious what I got, I ordered:

Ultra (super) Nudy Quarter Grey
Geo Tricolor Green
Geo Honey Wing

Packaging: Kind of disappointed, but I guess that's one reason why they charge little. It came in a regular letter envelope. The lenses themselves were wrapped in a SINGLE layer of bubble wrap, taped on the top and bottom. I just wished it came with a little more padding just because it had to travel quite a distance. The envelope itself didn't have any holes or rips, but it sure looked beat up.

Customer Service: Really good, they were prompt in answering my questions.

Overall: I think that it's great to order from them if you don't mind waiting more than a month to receive them. Of course, you can't beat the price! My only complaint is the packaging, I just wished it they put an extra layer of bubble wrap. Nonetheless, my lenses arrived undamaged.

If you're not patient or need your lenses in a jiff... you're better off ordering from websites like honeycolor.com [post] or pinkyparadise.com. They do charge more, but you're sure to get them within a couple weeks.

Would I order from them again? Yes.

More blah blah blah: I am just sharing my experience with this particular seller. I can't assure you that you will experience the same. Compared to another seller I have ordered from, geosupplier is really good. I remember a seller I bought from (on myspace), it took more than 2 months before I received my pair. She said it was because it didn't come in with the batch it was supposed to arrive with. Me, being my nice self, said it was alright. It was okay, but of course I was disappointed. She charged like $23 (including shipping) for honey wings. This was sometime last year.

A quick look at mark's just pinched instant blush in Cheeky. I just wanted to share some pics, maybe be of help to others. Sometimes it's hard to decide on which colors to get with the photos they provide on the website [here].

I tried to take photos in different lighting just so that you'd have a better idea of what it looks like. I'd describe Cheeky as a very light girlie color, I like it :). Just pinched applies smoothly onto the skin, very nice texture imo. It also looks very natural because it's so easy to blend. I have read reviews prior to purchasing this. Some complain of it feeling oily or greasy. I don't think of it as being oily, it just feels silky to me. After blending it out, it dried to a nice finish.

Just pinched comes in 6 different colors and are $7 each. I also have it in Peachy (will post swatch soon).

GEO Super Nudy Lens Gray

Just a quick look at the new GEO super nudy circle lenses in gray. I LOVE these! Eye makeup is a must though, without any makeup on, I looked like an alien LOL. I should've taken a pic. I'll just update this post when I do take a pic of that.

Comfort: 9/10 I was able to wear these for about 8 hrs with no discomfort or redness. Maybe it's also because of the solution I use [here]. Clear care solution increases the comfort of my lens (any of them) a lot!

Enlargement: 10/10 Huge!

Design: 8/10 Not much of any design, they look pretty plain, but I like it simple like that.

Overall: 9/10 Like I said, I love these! I'd wear them on a normal basis :)

I've tried it once, not enough moisture for me. I personally still need to apply my carmex, but that's because my lips are pretty chapped right now. I haven't been taking care of them =(. I guess if you don't have a problem with dry lips, this should be fine alone.

I've been wanting this WNW creme eyeliner for so long! That's why when I saw that they had it, I grabbed it right away. I want to buy a back up just because they're sell out so quickly. I like the lippie, the color is very wearable. Haven't tried it on my lips yet, but it seems to have a nice texture when I swatched it on my hand. I wanted to get some ELF studio brushes, but the ones they had were the ones I already own. The ones I wanted were sold out :(. I ended up just getting a backup of the E/S brush. You can never have too many E/S brushes, lol.

My thoughts on these: I haven't worn them out yet due to the intensity of the color (lol). To me, they look light blue instead of gray. Reason why I haven't worn them out. They look TOTALLY FAKE. The photo in natural light doesn't portray what it looks like in person, it got toned down a bit because the pic is kind of dim. I'm not even that sure where I'd wear them since I'm not into too intense, unnatural falseness when it comes to lenses. I'm not crazy about the design. On the model, it doesn't look bad... I actually like it. Oh well, maybe if I wear them out at least once... it'll grow on me? We'll see, I'll post an update on that.

Rambling: I first tried them on this past Sunday, I was going to wear them to church. As soon as I put them on and looked in the mirror, I was in shock. They were so frikken light! I thought "No way I'm wearing this to church." So I ended up just wearing my glasses. I was too lazy to put on my fave circle lens - geo honey wings (Will post about).

I've been searching for e-stores that sell in-stock circle lenses in which you don't have to wait FOREVER to receive them like in batch orders. I'm not bagging on batch ordering because I still do it. It's just that while waiting for my order (from batches) to come in, I still want more! Hence, honeycolor.com.

I ordered Neo Cosmo Sunflower Grays along with some lens accessories. I placed my order on March 12 [friday]. They were able to ship it on on March 16 [tuesday]. I received it yesterday March 22. So that's 10 days including the weekend, fantastic! They said that the estimated date of arrival would be on the 29th [I didn't mind], but so happy it came in early! At the time I ordered, they had a 10% discount code, woot for discounts! The prices I listed are before the discount.

I bought an extra pair of tweezers and a lens stick because I don't know if they're available here in the US. They're only $1 each (so is the solution bottle). I've never seen them in stores and love the concept of it. I hate dipping my fingers (clean of course) in the lens case and try to get my lens out even then, I'd still end up handling it more to position it properly on my finger.

I might try other e-stores for circle lenses next time I order though, we'll see hehe.

Glitzy-glam Makeup Bag

I "created my own" makeup bag from glitzy-glam.com. [Link]. I like to keep the stuff I use everyday in a bag because (depending on lighting) I do my makeup in different rooms of the house, lol. I love this bag because it holds EVERYTHING I need to do my entire face! I used to keep the stuff I use in 2 different bags one had my face stuff (foundie, setting powder, brushes, and blush) and the other had my eye makeup. Not anymore! Even though it fits a lot of stuff, I don't think it's too big. To me, it's just the right size! I wouldn't recommend bringing this around when you go out though. hehe. I still use my old makeup bag for on the go [link] , but different items in it now. Will do a post soon:)

Clear Care Contact Lens Solution

I LOVE this stuff! My eyes used to get so red after a couple hours of wearing circle lenses, NOT ANYMORE!! My contacts feel fresh each time I use them. Before my sis in law told me about this stuff, I never knew it even existed. Her eye doc recommended it to her. Just thought I'd share my love for it, LOL.

I bought mine at Wal-mart, I'm pretty sure they're easy to find at drugstores. It comes with a special case (don't use it with regular flat lens cases). It was around $8-$9 (not totally sure, I'll get try to check it out next time I go to wal-mart).

ON THE BOTTLE

Contraindications: There are no known contraindications for use of Clear Care. However, if you are allergic to any ingredient in this solution, do not use.
Contents: Clear Care One Bottle Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution is a sterile solution containing micro-filtered hydrogen peroxide 3%, sodium chloride 0.79%, stabilized with phosphonic acid, a phosphate buffered system, and Pluronic 17R4 (a cleaning agent).

Do not use if CIBA Vision safety seal around the bottle cap is broken or missing.

WARNINGS:

Do not use a flat lens case. Clear Care ONLY works with the special lens case provided.
Do not remove lenses from case until at least 6 hours later. The solution needs time to neutralize.
Do not rinse lenses with Clear Care prior to inserting lenses into your eyes. If you want to rinse lenses, use a sterile saline.
Do not squirt Clear Care directly into your eyes.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
To ensure proper disinfection of your lenses, you must follow the instructions completely. DO NOT skip any of the steps. Always wash and rinse your hands before handling your lenses. See package insert for special RGP instructions (I don't have this anymore, sorry -_-).

1. Remove and place each lense into the appropriately marked L/R domed lense holder. Rinse with Clear Care for 5 seconds.

2. Fill the lens case to fill line with Clear Care and place the lens holder in the case.
note: In the photo I mean Don't rinse with this stuff right before putting your contacts on.

3. Tighten the cap and store lenses for at least 6 hours or overnight. DO NOT SHAKE THE CASE.

Sorry if some things are REDUNDANT, just can't stress those things enough. I accidentally got this stuff in my eye the first time I used it and it stung like a bitch. How? I was used to using solutions like COMPLETE... I took out one contact and rinsed it in my palm then put it in the holder. Then took out the next contact with the same 2 fingers (pointer & thumb) without washing my hands or anything - TADA! Clear Care solution in my left eye! I rinsed my eye out with water right away, but it took a while for the stinging sensation to go away. I was fine though, I didn't go blind or anything... but it did hurt A LOT. Now I know... take out both lenses first, THEN rinse/rub them!

Sounds really scary because you're dealing with your eyes, but I tell ya... my lenses have never felt cleaner... fresher. Use at your own risk and ask your eye doctor if you have any concerns.

Just thought I'd post my tiny haul. Their shipping is really fast. I ordered it January 30 (which is a Saturday), I knew it wasn't going to be processed until Monday February 1... but yeah s'all good. It shipped on February 2 and I received it this morning! They sent it via USPS priority mail even though I chose regular ground shipping (I think). Shipping was $6.

They were on sale for $5!
I got white & magenta.
I think the original price was $17.
Last time I checked, I didn't see these anymore so I'm guessing they sold out? Or maybe I'm just blind >_<

I know I've been out of the loop for the past few months. Making posts every month or so, which is quite bad -_-. I haven't been wearing much makeup since we don't really go out much. Just to buy something, maybe shop or hang out at friends'. I've been doing my nails more than putting on makeup, but still nothing special. There have been some hauls, but haven't had the patience to take pics and blog about it. I probably will make a post, but they'll be super late from when I get them. Lately, I've been online shopping more than shopping at the mall. I found it more convenient since the hubby has no patience and I take FOREVER when I go clothes shopping. PLUS, online the sizes and colors are right there no need for digging through racks of clothes. Only downside is not being able to try them on; fortunately I haven't had the problem of an item not fitting well or not liking the way it looks on me. I guess because my style is VERY casual and I LOVE to layer basics.

FAMILY
- has been important to me more than ever. My grandfather (I call him TATAY -meaning father in tagalog) passed away this past Friday JANUARY 29, 2010. May you rest in peace Tay I Love & miss you so so much. It saddens me that he's gone of course, but I guess it's for the best. He was suffering from alzheimer's and was in the worst condition I've ever known him to be in. I don't know what exactly caused him to go... but I know he's in a better place. He helped raise me... he was always around until I got married and left Hawaii. I just miss him... His passing actually brought the whole family closer. Relatives that haven't spoken for more than a decade (literally) got back in touch with each other.

Yes, it's been FOREVER (feels like it). Been kinda busy, finding it hard to find time to blog -_-. Hopefully I'll have time to make up for it. I have been hauling, but haven't been posting... haven't been able to take pics. Oh I have photoshop now (YAY!), so when I do blog, the pics will have better quality hehe. I'll try to do a review soon on some products I've tried.

Oh another reason for lack of posting is my grandmother in Hawaii is in the hospital right now =(. She's been there for almost a week now. She has diabetes and what happened was that her blood sugar got too low, so she passed out. Earlier that day, she asked my mom for some chicken & avocado. When my mom got to their apartment, my mom saw her on the floor. From there she was brought to the hospital. It's a good thing that she asked my mom to bring her food, if not... something worse could've happened. The doctor said that if she wasn't brought to the hospital in time, she could've had brain damage. Not that I could do anything for her (but pray), just so worried. I hope she gets better soon... *sigh*

KONAD HAUL

I ordered some Konad stuff from www.wowsocool.com a few weeks ago. I love ordering from them! Their shipping is so fast & free [w/ purchase of $20 or more]. I ordered it on a monday and received it on wednesday. They didn't have one of the image plate i ordered, so they e-mailed me asking if i wanted to wait or change the plate. It was s09 (which i really wanted), so i opted to wait. They said they were going to get another shipment the following wednesday, but that day came & the image plate wasn't there. So... they asked me again if I wanted to change it... I tell ya, i REALLY wanted that plate, so I told them I'd wait. Because I waited for that long, they offered me a free image plate of my choice. My s09 image plate and the other plate i chose arrived the following thursday. ^_^.

My thoughts on my purchase

I love the s09 image plate.
the silver & gold special polishes are sort of a waste. they're not as opaque as I thought they'd be. They're ok for stamping on backgrounds (i guess).
I regret getting the m19 image plate. it's for making french tips. I suck at doing it by hand so at the time I thought that it'd be more convenient to just stamp it on. Now I realize that it's kinda hard to stamp it on straight. I mean it's OK, but I think I'd be better off with those french tip sticker guides.

Using the konad took a little getting used to. My first stamp, disaster. LoL. Only part of the image went onto the stamper. hehe.

I've been using acetone to remove my nail polish and clean my stamping stuff. I've tried other non-acetone nail polish removers, but they suck. It takes a while before my nail polish comes off, basically they didn't do a good job at all. If you can suggest a brand of NON-acetone nail polish, please let me know ^_^. Acetone is so DRYING. Thanks!

I received my china glaze nail polishes today! so fast. I can say that shipping is very quick, but while waiting for it to arrive I got so antsy... soo I went to sally beauty supply and bought a couple. lol. I'll try to post pics by the end of this week. Sorry for the lack of posts.

Lately, I've been into nail art. I usually don't do my nails because they go through everyday chores around the house. Resulting in chipped nail polish [ugh]. Buuuuut in between organizing stuff for the move, I've been bored therefore I do my nails, lol. At the moment I SUCK at nail art. hahaha. I have such a hard time doing my right hand >_<. Oh well, practice makes perfect.

Depot-happy

The other night, I got DEPOT happy and decided to depot my avon eyeshadows. I've been wanting to do it for a loooong ass time because they were taking up A LOT of space, but never got around to doing it. I bought the empty palette from coastal scents around December 2008. I ripped out the foam w/ circle cut-outs. I also depotted my almay trio (you'll see it in the finished photo). I was too lazy to take a "before" photo of the Almay one. I only used the heat method with the duos & the quad. The singles and the almay trio didn't need to be heated 'cuz they were really easy to prop out w/ my nail file.

I didn't glue them down or anything yet. I'm still thinking whether I'll glue them or buy magnets. Right now the glue that's holding them in place is the left over glue from depotting them. I didn't completely clean off the back.

OH Just in case you're wondering, the eyeshadows are discontinued. The bright blue isn't as pigmented as it looks. I got them a while back when my mom was still an Avon rep. At the time, I was just collecting & never touched my eyeshadows... I was a liquid eyeliner & mascara gal. I didn't know about the different brushes, blending, highlight ur browbone, etc.

We went to the mall yesterday just to get Jillian something. Stopped by this little store that had some NYX stuff and some e/s palettes. I picked up a NYX round lipstick in indian pink [$1.50] and a kleancolor e/s palette[$3]. The palette I got is in purples & pinks. There was another one (greens/blues), maybe I'll get that one next time.

I forgot to swatch the lippie. hehe. I'm sure there are swatches out there.

The e/s palette has great pigmentation.
Maybe i'll do a review or something after i've tried them on my lid.
You know how sometimes they look great on ur finger, but when you apply them to your lid... meh. lol.

We went to san pedro last night [10ish] . i have no idea what you call it, but the fish came in w/ the waves then you could just scoop them up w/ ur bucket or net. I wanted to take pics, but Jillian wouldn't let me put her down. I was pretty much carrying her the whole time. It was COLD. The fish were so small. Haha. I think it was too late doing that in that Kuya said that it's been going on for 2 weeks now. Anyways, it was tiring and we left around 2am. Got home at around 3.

It's been waaaaay too long since I've done a makeup related post. I felt I HAD to do one. So here is a look using ELF'S eye brightening quad in IVY. It's much GREENER in person. I just didn't have the patience to fiddle around w/ my camera's settings to get the color to show up better.

WHAT I USED:

NYX jumbo pencil in COTTAGE CHEESE
LIGHT & DARK GREEN IN ELF QUAD [Ivy]
CS gel liner in TRUE BLACK
i-mark e/s in WHISPER

I didn't use UDPP & I only did one eye (yeah i cheated like that). hehe. About the quads, I like them [i got 3]. For pigmentation, really good for $1. Texture-wise: a smidge on the chalky side, doesn't bother me. I wished my food4less carried the newer shades though. Last time I checked... they didn't have 'em (boohoo) *sniff.

I have been wearing makeup on an almost daily basis [just b/c i don't want my makeup to collect dust in the corner]. But, nothing exciting... mostly neutrals & I don't take pics as often as I should >_<. Haven't really been hauling neither. Hmm ionno... Those new NYX palettes look yummy though... Has anybody seen swatches or reviews on them yet? I've been searching & no luck.

Besides doing what we have to do...

1. Family Time [just us 3]

2. Photoshop-ing - current project. One spread for every month of Jillian's first year. Then every milestone (ex: peeing in her potty-lol i already finished that one) . The one below is of her BIRTH, of course without all the watermarks. Watermarked it like crazy just for my blog post.

3. Shape by shape - my hubby's nephew had this. i played with it when we visited & liked it. they bought it from borders for like 15.99. I found this one at toys 'r us for 11.99. Lol, borders ripped them off. Yes I'm a nerd like that. When I can't solve one... I skip it. No fun looking at the answer on the back of the card.

4. Chatting w/ family on MSN. I like windows live messenger b/c of the custom smileys u can put; like this i made this one. One of my many simple emoticons. Lol.

Yeah I'm a bum. lol. These are the things I do when I'm not chasing after Jillian & whatnot. She's a demanding lil girl!

Just another update

I shall be MIA for a couple weeks. I have some personal things to tend to. Hubby's fam here on vacay is going back soon. Some shit happened (not talking bout the car accident) that I'm hoping turns out for the good. Gahh... just so much to think about. I'm OK though, so is my family. That's all that matters to me at this point.

I'll still be reading blogs though =]. Maybe comment here and there, but not as much as I used to. Not until things are at least almost back to normal.

Oh and I've been sick since Saturday, we went cherry picking in the scorching hot middle of nowhere. Then ate at a freezing cold buffet. Result, FEVER. Threw up. Felt like shit for a few days. I'm a lot better now.

Anyways, to show you how big my hubby's family (not everyone in the pic is on vacay)... I leave you with this picture.

I haven't been able to update lately or read blogs because:

Hubby's relatives are here on vacation... I'm talking like more than 10 of 'em.
Car accident this past Saturday [May 23] -I'm not going to go into detail, but we're all fine. Well, hubby's arm is in a sling, but he is OK. First car accident for me, it's scary & weird. A feeling you can't explain. All I could do was wait for the car to stop, it felt like things were going slow-mo. I thought that was just in movies.
Been going here & there A LOT, because of FAMILY TIME w/ the in-laws, hehe. Yes, even after the accident. I'm so tired -_-... but I'm just sucking it in because it's been a while since they've (hubby & his cousins) all been together and they won't be here in California for too long. Imma miss them =[.

No FOTDss or EOTDs because I've been doing my EVERYDAY look from the previous post. & responding to the eyeliner questions... I honestly have no idea how I got it that straight. Trust me, that's probably the first time I've done it that straight. After I read some comments about it, I was like... oh yeah. I didn't even notice if some of you lovlies hadn't pointed it out. I looked at my past EOTDs and NONE of them are lined as straight as my previous post. The eyeliner I have on today isn't straight. LOL. Anyhooo I've been going on and on about the eyeliner thing. I'm sorry I can't answer the question "how?", but as soon as I figure it out I'll attempt a photo step-by-step tutorial =]

I'll try to catch up on blogs in the coming days... but as of right now I'M POOPED! hehe.

Oh I have photos, I'll try to post them ASAP. A blog entry w/o pics... BORING. Sorry this post is boring. ^_^

Oh I got the covergirl lash blast mascara (waterproof) a few days ago... what can I say? I LOVE ittt! I did poke my eye once though, the first time I used it, lol. Oh and it had a funky smell... like rubber or plastic. Then I realized it's probably the wand (the plastic spikes).

Coastal Scents Gel Liner

There are a TON of reviews on this thing by now, but I just wanted to blog about this thing.
I don't have much to say, but yeah whatever =P
I have it in TRUE BLACK (shown in photo).

It's the first & only gel liner I have ever tried, so at this point I can't compare it to other gel liners. I apply this using my pink oval taklon lip brush [read brush post here].

The consistency of this is like mousse. I don't know if all of them are like that, but yeah mine is. When I dip my brush... it just sinks in. Soooo, to get an even amount onto my brush, I dip it in & scrape it on the side of the jar (which wastes some product b/c the gel that sticks to the side dries up a bit).

All in all, it's an OK product. I'm not crazy about it & I'm just trying to finish it so I can try the HIP cream liner I received from Mary. Maybe I'll grow impatient & start using the HIP liner (hmm), very tempted, lol.

My mother's day

My mother's day went great! We spent it at mommy's (hubby's aunt) place. BBQ'd the whole day. The kids & the hubby went swimming. I didn't because I didn't bring any clothes >_< ( we didn't know we were going to stay at home). Jillian didn't like the pool because the water was too cold. I didn't take that many pics because I was following Jillian all over the place. I'll try to see if mommy or one of the cousin(-in-law)s (lol) have more decent pics, but then it probably won't be until later. I don't know we'll just see. Hehe.

what is it? it's your basic moisturizer.

consistency is of regular lotion/moisturizer.

spf 30 ♥
really does moisturize - well does the job for me
has some natural ingredients - they claim
has anti-oxidants
you only need a little
oil-free
doesn't break me out
doesn't leave a whitish/grayish cast

price - [$15] kinda steep for a mark product
smells of sunblock [although it does go away quickly]

My computer's being all sucky again. Takes a while for websites to load or it doesn't load at all. I don't think it's our internet service because everything loads up fine on my DSi. Anyways, some of you may know I've been having a problem with my ULTRA DRY LiPS! I finally gave Carmex a go. and... I LOVE IT! I have tried carmex, but not the squeezable type... I tried the chapstick form before & it didn't help me much.

The Hubby's New Ink

Actually he got it this past Friday, April 24, after I got my contacts. Just thought I'd share it with y'all.

I think it took around 3.5 hours. He really loves it =D. So do I. Beautifully done. Even my mom likes it (she's in hawaii but i sent her a pic), and she was against him getting a tattoo of Jillian's name right from the start (due to superstition). I forgot the tattoo artist's name though. Maybe I'll edit this post later and add more details when the hubby comes home.

The pics are watermarked for his myspace page. There are a few more pics there like before the ink, after the outline, and the tattoo newly finished. I think those pics are public, so go ahead & check it out. There's also some music on his page, the Rapaholikz, some underground Filipino rap. Although the ones on his page are outdated (from a few years back) haven't had the time to upload the new ones. I could, but I don't know where they're saved. Okay, enough me rambling... Swine Flu

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if you didn't already hear about it.

I'm just worried about the kids. In our family of friends, most of us have kids. Some under 1 yr. I wish it would just go away, but for now we all just have to be careful.

PLEASE CARRY SANITIZER W/ YOU if u currently don't.
and those disinfecting/sanitizing wipes for when you go out shopping & whatnot.
keep 'em in a ziplock bag & put it in your purse. =D

Some of our friends have been gotten sick prior to the whole swine flu alert thing. I think it was because of the weather. During the past week or so, there were maybe 3 or 4 days where the weather was so HOT. like 97+ out. Then there was a sudden temperature drop. Right now it's like 64 degrees. Anyways, they're all good & well now.

I'm bestfriends w/ sanitizing wipes right now. LOL. I've been using them to wipe up all the door handles, switches, stuff most commonly touched on a daily basis. Someone might bring in some unwanted bacteria/virus... so better safe than sorry. Anyways, been doing this every night before going to bed. No matter how tired I am, I just think about Jillian & I instantly get the energy to be up & about the house cleaning late at night.

I think my computer's okay now. I hope it stays this way, lol.

I think it just needed a rest. When it was acting funny, hubby didn't turn it off for maybe 3 nights straight? He just used it and went to sleep w/ it on (only turning off the monitor). We usually turn it off when we're not using it or definitely before we go to bed.

Anyhooo, I haven't been up to much.

Friday, I got my eyes checked b/c it's been 2 yrs since I've had one. Also picked up contacts, been about 1 yr since I've used them. I generally don't like wearing contacts because they make my eyes dry. Yes, I have dried the moisturizing ones... but I still end up using eye drops throughout the day. But I like contacts b/c... u know.... it's easier to apply makeup! especially eye makeup, lol. Which we all love. Anyways, I'm trying out the focus dailies for a week so we'll see how they are. I used to use the acuvue hydra(something) ones, i forgot the exact name & am too lazy to search.

Saturday, went to our friend's house & spent the day there. We originally just wanted to stop by b/c hubby wanted to record something. Turned out homeboi was having a going away party for his friend.... BARBEQUE! Yum! I didn't take pics of the grinds, but I'll post other pics when I get them from our friends. He has a CPU hooked up to their plasma/LCD I don't really know what the difference is... but anyways we watched THE HOUSE on www.asian-horror-movies.com after that, we headed home b/c Jillian fell asleep towards the end of the movie while hubs was carrying her. It was fun, glad we went =).

Today, no plans really. Might go to target when the hubby gets back from work. Other than that, me & Jillian are just chillin at home. hehe.

i will have to catch up on everyone's blogs. :( now something is wrong with our computer. gaaah. i am writing this entry on my nintendo DSi. which is a pain.

for some reason pages (not just blogs) more like websites either dont load correctly or won't load at all. hmph.

soo annoyed. it's been like that since the other day. if anyone has a clue how to fix it pls let me know. i'll be checking with my dsi or hubby's phone. or maybe my fruend's computer.

again flash washed out the colors

it's darker in person

i need a new camera -_-
my camera has a funky sound when u turn it on/off
i think it's b/c one time jillian got a hold of it & played with the switch
i've had it for 3 years now, idk if that's a good or a bad thing?

anybody have any suggestions for a good camera?
of course for a GOOD price. (cheap) hehe.

I am not good at writing reviews, so I'll just blog about what I think of i-mark eye shadows.

some tidbits on them.

they are $4 each
case sold separately
.08 oz (mac e/s .05)

i don't have any mac e/s

so i can't compare the two

for size, i just put it on my NYX trio

look at the size or it in my hand

i think it's a pretty good size for $4

here's a swatch of crush (shimmer)
good pigmentation i think

this is one swipe with little pressure

i think that they are well worth $4 each.
the pigmentation/color payoff is great on most of the colors
you can check out my other swatches by searching my blog or clicking here.

right now they have 28 shades available. they add more every so often... so be on the lookout for that. for bright-colored-e/s lovers, this may not be for you just because right now they have mostly neutrals. most the colors available right now aren't that bright with the exception of maybe 2-4 shades. I personally LOVE these and want to collect ALL of them. LOL.

empty snap-to-it custom palettes available:

mini :: holds 2 e/s $4
mezzo :: holds 4 e/s $6
mega :: holds 8 e/s $8

the palettes can also hold mark good glowing blushes. so u can put a combo... but i just listed the number of e/s you can fit in them if u put ONLY eye shadows.
